Doctor Who is a British sci-fi television programme created by the BBC in 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord known as "the Doctor," an alien being that seems to be almost human in appearance. The main character is the Doctor, who can regenerate rapidly to recover from injuries. However, this is not entirely supernatural as the Doctor also possesses some mental link to the universe, so he can always be "retrieved" should his own life be endangered.
